CEFAS - Project 50%
Around 7.3 million tonnes of fish are discarded every year around the world.
A pilot social marketing project, run by Corporate Culture and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS), set out to help protect fish stocks.
Interviewing the trawler skippers and other key partners was key to the project, as this provided detailed insight to all parties and informed a range of creative outputs.
Subsequently, trawler skippers in Devon have successfully reduced the amount of juvenile fish thrown overboard by 52 percent.
