GMWDA - A cleaner, greener place to be
GMWDA gets all required planning facilities.
The UK has challenging landfill targets to meet: by 2013, waste sent to landfill should be 50% of that sent in 1995, reducing to 35% by 2015.
Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) recently secured a 25-year PFI contract to bring £300 million worth of innovative waste treatment facilities to the region.
It needed to engage a range of stakeholders, including councillors and local residents, to secure the resultant planning permissions.
Corporate Culture helped with communications management, strategic counsel, and creative materials for stakeholders including a DM piece delivered to over 700,000 households.
GMWDA achieved 100% of the required planning permissions.
“Corporate Culture have brought their skills and abilities to supplement the internal resources of our Authority, advising, coaching and delivering specific projects. In particular they are supporting us on a journey of building stakeholder relationships and our reputation.”
Jane Hawkes, Director of Strategy and Communications, GMWDA
