The Change for Good Network had its inaugural roundtable event on January 22nd 2008 at the Royal College of Physicians, Regent's Park. The topic under discussion was 'how to increase participation in sport'.

According to the session's keynote presenter, Jennie Price, Chief Executive of Sport England, the nine words defining how to help increase participation in sport are "accessibility, choice, customers, partnership and get on with it!"

Jennie's presentation explored the background and key factors in encouraging uptake of sport, and included the surprising fact that adults in the UK spend only around 10 minutes each day engaged in sport or outdoor activities.

All 15 attendees contributed to a dynamic debate, which generated a series of valuable outputs that will be available to members of the Change for Good Network.
