Four steps to earning customer trust

The Corporate Culture Customer Trust Index 2006 suggests there are four simple steps any company can take to win customer trust.

  • Ensure your product or service meets the expectations of customers. This is not about absolute quality. It’s about expectation.
  • Ensure each customer contact is positive. You are only as good as the last personal contact.
  • Speak to customers in their language. Show customers the difference your product or service makes in their life using the words they use.
  • Act responsibly. Build trust by responsible action.
