Ashley SweetlandAshley joined Corporate Culture as Director of our Youth Strategy Unit in October 2005. In his time at the company he has provided strategic consultancy to a range of voluntary sector clients from the national youth volunteering charity v, Mencap, Volunteering England to the Helena Kennedy Foundation and The National Youth Agency. He also has a strategic role with a number of public sector and corporate clients including the Local Government Association, the Olympic Delivery Authority where he led on developing their education strategy, the Department for Children, Schools and Families on a national celebration of young people’s achievements, to advising BT for over five years on their award winning corporate responsibility campaigns to give young people a voice, and with T-Mobile on increasing youth volunteering. Before joining Corporate Culture, Ashley was co-chair of the UK Youth Parliament during a formative period in the organisation's development; he helped turn the UKYP into a formidable national charity with strong cross-party support, and remains a trustee to this day. Ashley was also a member of the Government Commission on youth volunteering, headed by former Scottish Power CEO Ian Russell CBE. A Politics and Law graduate, he is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a committed cyclist and swimmer. |
